ABOUT THE B FUND
The B Fund was inspired by parents who navigated the difficult journey of caring for their critically ill child in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Boston Children’s Hospital.
They experienced firsthand that, on top of daunting medical expenses, a host of additional costs—like travel, meals, and lodging—can intensify financial and emotional strain. Moved by this challenge, they set out to ease these burdens, allowing families to focus fully on what matters most: their child’s healing and well-being.

Motivated by compassion, The B Fund took flight—powered by parents eager to help others and engage their children in hands-on philanthropy.
Together, they set out to:
Offer financial and emotional relief to local families caring for a critically ill child. Cover essential costs like parking, travel, lodging, meals, and more.
Develop programs that empower parents and educators to teach children the value of philanthropy through hands-on, real-world experiences.
Foster a culture of giving and philanthropy that extends beyond the home and into the broader community.
